Mr. Foggie has well over 24 years experience as Civil Service working for DTI
(Department of Trade and Industry), BERR (Department for Business
Enterprise & Regulatory Reform) and BIS (Department for Business,
Innovation and Skills)
From 2001 to July 2011 Mr. Foggie
worked as Assistant Director (Grade 7) Electronics Innovation, UK
Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). Responsibilities
for policy development programs, project delivery and design,
representation and management. Initiating and managing relationships
within and across central and local government and their agencies,
industry, academia and third sector organizations to promote, support
and exploit electronics and IT services sectors. An ‘innovation broker’
role, stimulating activities to generate commercially viable technology
based innovations that meet business or public service needs.
In 2007, Mr. Foggie co-founded HoIP CIC (Healthcare over Internet Protocol) a community interest company promoting an alliance of academia, industry, policy makers and consumers to develop an open framework for interoperable health services.
