Dr. Marsh has been the author of two UK government commission reports and of over 170 peer reviewed research publications on Health Informatics including 1 book, 13 chapters and 16 editorials. Dr. Marsh has founded a number of pioneering academic and industrial research groups, has experience in managing large-scale projects and has founded two successful spin-off companies.
In 2003, Dr. Marsh become Vice-President of the ICMCC (International Council on Medical Care and Compunetics) and since 2006 is a visiting professor at the University of Westminster.
In 2007, Dr. Marsh co-founded HoIP CIC (Healthcare over Internet Protocol) a community interest company promoting an alliance of academia, industry, policy makers and consumers to develop an open framework for interoperable health services.
In September 2009, Dr. Marsh was appointed Secretary General of World Academy of BioMedical Sciences and Technologies (WABT) a UNESCO NGO. He is also a recognized expert for UK CfH, ESA, REA, EACEA and the CEC since FP4 with over 50 project reviews. His current interests are in Future Internet Technologies and their application to Health, Wellbeing and care.
